FICCI’s 1st Marathi Conclave held in Pune on 6th May 2019.
The purpose of this conference was to focus on ‘Increasing demand of Indian local languages on Internet as well as issues & challenges of Indic languages’.
The conclave was attended by Senior Director of C-DAC – Mr. M.D Kulkarni, Rajya Marathi Vikas Sanstha (RMVS) Chief – Mr. Anand Katikar, FICCI-ILIA Chief – Sarika Gulyani addressed to the Conclave.
“Only 20% of Indians are familiar with English language where as 80% of population still depends on their native languages. Most of the internet data is available in English. In future, localization of internet will become a booming industry” Dr Ajay Data of Chief of Xgen added his views.
Fidel & LinguaSol also actively participated in FICCI’s (Fedration of Indian Chamber Of Commerce & Industry) 1st Marathi Conclave in Pune. Fidel Group CEO – Sunil Kulkarni, CTO – Rajeevlochan Phadke, COO – Mandar Inamdar, Marathi Linguist – Sampada Padhye were present.
In the discussion session of “Challenges of Indian languages” Mr. Rajeevlochan Phadke, CTO of Linguasol, gave brief on the Issues & challenges of using Indic fonts. Editor of Sakal – Mr. Samrat Phadnis, Sr. Editor of Pratham Books – Mrs. Sandhya Taksale, Mr. Vishwas Sirmukadam of MCCIA, Principol (Deccan college) – Mrs. Sonal Kulkarni, CTO of Sarthi portal – Mr. Sangram Sabat and Translator – Mrs. Lalita Marathe also participated in a discussion session.
