The primary objective was to modernize an aging legacy recruitment website by rebuilding it using contemporary technologies. This involved enhancing performance, functionality, and usability across multiple user groups, while ensuring a seamless migration of legacy data.
The new platform needed to cater effectively to four major user groups:

  • Guest Users: Guest User could browse and search job listings without registering or logging in. The aim was to deliver a responsive and intuitive experience that made job exploration easy and encouraged users to engage further with the platform and eventually register for additional features.
  • Job Seekers: Job Seekers had access to advanced tools like personalized job recommendations, saved searches, application history, and a user-friendly dashboard. They could receive and respond to scout messages from employers, manage applications securely, and track their job search progress with ease.
  • Company Users: Employers and recruiters could post job listings, search candidate resumes, send scout messages, and collaborate with internal hiring teams. The system was designed to streamline these activities while offering improved automation, control, and analytics to support better recruitment decisions.
  • Administrators: Administrators handled platform operations, including scheduling automated emails, managing banners and promotional content, and responding to user inquiries. The enhanced admin interface allowed for flexible, real-time control over branding, communication, and system maintenance tasks.

Testing & Execution

A strong focus was placed on ensuring quality and stability throughout development. The testing team implemented a structured strategy that spanned multiple devices and browsers.

  • More than 5,500 test cases were developed, covering all core functionalities and workflows.
  • Testing included desktop, tablet, and mobile devices (iOS and Android).
  • Cross-browser testing was performed to ensure consistent performance on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
  • Over 800 defects were logged during testing cycles and resolved collaboratively with the development team, leading to a highly stable release.
